Too good to be true, but picture below shows so far best place to get asps. Well, atleast for me. Usually trolling for ~20h ingame per run. Yesterday i got 790silvers in ~25h ingame.. And today in 20h i got 590silvers. In such speed ill be able to afford venga easily 😄

Using Snatcher S003 if anyone cares. 🙂

P.S. Maybe anyone can suggest lure for UL set to get asps while trolling? Checked hi scores and tried several lures i had- no luck so far. 😞

The smallest spiker spinners, that you use for Grayling at Belaya are also very good for trolling Asp at Akhtuba😊

Anyone knows spots at akhtuba where I might use baitfish with pretty good results?

Also nightcrawlers without those wild carps

I've seen on an other forum 84.106 clip 21m with bleaks for beloribitsa whitefish.

Hello,
Today I spent few hours on akthuba, 51:138, clip 17m.
Biterate wasn't the greatest, around 10-15 fish per hour, but using mainly pellets 25. If you want better biterate, reduce pellets sizes.
You will catch Bighead Carps, Sterlets and Wild Carps.
If you're targeting more bighead, you should try crab&mussels 20 soluble or salmon 20, together with halibut 25 pellets.
For wild carps, you should use freshwater krill pellets 25, Halibut 25 pellets, or atlantic salmon pellets 24. Sterlets are bycatch while using those boilies/pellets.
Caught 2 trophies Wild Carp, 1 Bighead, Blue trophy Wild carp, and 2 really big fish escaped during fight. Fished for 4 hours.
This is the PVA that I used.

  • Special thanks to Shocker for the PVA recipe, and Gemellito for the Bighead carp baits.

Wish you all good luck,
Pindobinha.

The above location is totally different when you approach it with natural baits. For the last few days I've been fishing this area with a match rod and 2 bottom rods  using mayfly, crawfish tail and rhino beetle larvae respectively and getting around 500 silver on every approx 90 minute session. It's great fun as you're always catching on the float between takes on the bottom rods. Had many different species too; on float all types of Herring (inc. trophy), Sichel, Ide, Perch, plus odd Shemaya and Rudd. On bottom rods 3 types of Sturgeon, Wild Carp, Bigheads, Barbel and a Whitefish. No groundbait, boilies or pellets.
