This barbel fought hard! I thought it was a nice wild carp at first, and had the surprise when I saw it approaching my landing net :D.

Damn, Akhtuba will turn into a desert soon lol.

If you search google, average temperature is about 30,4. High temperature is about 36 for 2 month, rest of the year is arround 5-20. So not really a realistic weather.

Hey guys, if you are up for the challenge of the mighty beluga 130:138 with livebait is your spot. Cast full power NE to the 15m. It wont reach the 15m but sit in the 6m water which is where the fish are. Also note, once the fish reaches 150+ and you are using like fortuna carp rods, forget it. It will never come in so fight at your own risk. The last few that fought these fish for 10-12 hours wasn't a "fight stage" It tired after about 3 hours but the fish have been simply to big that while in its tired phase it can simply woosh the tail and overpower the venga at 29 fric. So it will never come in. As I am sure this is being looked into, play at your own risk.

Beluga are not to be messed with unless you are crazy like me haha

Also white fish, persian, stellate, russian are here to. Stick to bleak and gudge and you should be fine as the beluga seem to be in the 30kg with these baits. However I am sure a big one will still bite them. Goodluck! 39kg also did not make chat hense the low exp. But worth about 120 silver and only took 25min on venga so quite nice :)

I was unfortunate enough to get a beluga on my Admiral 8000 and Dominator, and it resulted in another fish spooling me :) Its fun, but a bit expensive :)

It depends of the spot where you are fishing. I had a 27kg beluga in the channels with a Gold 80s :D . I admit it was painful, seeing the fish going to the other side of a curve of the river, putting between us a good piece of land :D . Had to run, had to let the fish run on break 1 or 2 to the good direction. Was epic fight!

Go ahead, you clearly didn’t pay attention and don’t get that the fish during it’s tired stage still use little bits of energy where the fight portion is intense. You know when a fish is tired because it is nothing like the main fight.

The fish did not straight fight fight intensely for 10-12 hours, I watched PL stream and it was very obvious the fish simply could use its very little energy to continue to overpower a fortuna carp and he could have been 24 hours in and never had a chance.

Also guys, beluga are a work in progress and we the players are the testers of these fish. This is why I wanted to let anyone know to play at your own risk and the chance of not being able to land it no matter what exists. We still need to test with a Ti + venga which is something I am currently attempting.

I seen that In chat while I fought mine but mine was only 26kg haha. Amazing fish! It’s funny how that is 2.7m long and 74kg. My beluga is 1.8m long and 109kg. I think they have their length wrong as 1.8m and 109kg.. there is literally no way as it would be a blimp.
