Hello good day, I recently reached level 16, and I need to buy some items, such as spoon mold and scoope for bloodworm, both items are sold out in stores of all places that I can access, will items be sent to reload the missing ones in the stores?

Hello - yes the stores restock, but the intervals are determined by the game. Once you hit level 20, obtaining most items become easier as the stores at Volkhov rarely run out of stock.

Hello Dear RF4 Team.
Normally I am a patient person, but there is something what I need to ask because I just can't get it.

I am fishing on Belaya for around 5-6 weeks I think, mostly daily 2-3 or even more hours, using all forums to be always up-to-date , standing on the hotspots and using the weekly/daily lures. Have tried reeling speed from 16 all the way up to 35 , full cast and 50% ,  all possible methods like twitching, stop and go, speedup , etc.
Why is it that players from my chat catch brown trout and grayling trophies all the time , one of them just got both fish today within 3 hours, and I don't even go close to the trophy size ?
Went trough many forums and you also said there is no RNG in the game.  I am already thinking about leaving the game, so please help me out , what am I doing wrong ?
I am also posting my 2 setup here

Regards
XWaveX

There is definitely a factor of RNG in the game, although other factors such as lures based on weather and time of day for example are extremely important too.  As far as other players standing in the same spot catching trophies what must be remembered is that all factors may not be 100% the same such as differences in skill tree etc.  Would you mind showing me your skill tree?  Maybe I can help point you in the right direction.

Okay so it looks like you do have 3 points allocated to both spinners and wobblers which is what you were trying so that should slightly increase the chance for trophies.  Rods such as the Legend with its +1 to wobblers does increase that a little higher so you are going in the right direction.  Have you had a read of Levo's guide on Graylings?  It is a bit dated but might help you understand the fish a little bit better.  You can find it here

Also TPCatch did a guide on choosing lures, so you might have a look at it too.

Hopefully these can help land you the trophy you are looking for.

Yes, I read both topics and also the one for Browns. Also following the German and the russian and other forums for the hotspots and setups. But if you say it is RNG , than I probably have a very bad one and can nothing to do about it, or can I ?

Hi

Please remember to "give a spot a rest" - if spot is not producing for you as it did before, please switch spots or even maps for few hours.

It should really help.

So if I got you both right, I am doing nothing wrong, I am just unlucky. I will continue try to land a trophy , but I think if all settings and skills are good , and I still don't catch one than its better to give up. Well thanks anyway. Have a nice weekend.

Best regards

Hi,

When is the new lake and the big reels and rods I see advertised coming?

Release date of the new lake  hasn't been announced yet, and it also has not been announced whether the equipment on those posters will be added with it.

Devs dont like that, but dont bother, all the older videos are junk as all the zones are nerfed hard. When i  played i played for 8-10hrs daily, even at work when use feeder fishing(like afk fishing)   its not a RNG, this is one of those games that is DEV BASED where all the spots got nerfed hard. Even if you look at world records - there are alot that hant been beaten in two years, and that game didnt have mych of a playerbase then - even now its pretty thin.    So i leveled two accounts spent huge amount of hours and no matter what level you are, you will get same fish that you can catch as a level 1 in Mosquito lake 90% of the time.... all good stuff will be eaten by sleepers/roach/small perch(no matter the hook size. Sll the top lures are the same, where you will get 30-50gr fish on 60gr lure....or in other words 8-10cm fish on a 11cm lure with large 4 hooks.   Then there is "RNG"factor in this game, where you get nothing but once in a while you get spooled. Like they did with Mosquito - where even with starting foods you get 5kg+ common carps.  They have made this so you break alot of stuff and keep playing even tho in the end you dont catch anything good.   So after afk fishing for 8+ hrs each days, i made enough for few new higher level rods....and guess what, not a single bigger fish -  all i get where 1kg garbage or again something huge that breaks line(over 18kg)    And after reading alot of comments everywhere, this game and devs wont change...doesnt change. They pretty much dont care about players.... greed is huge in this 'fishing"game that feels more like a hardcore rigged casino :)    They have made these huge maps, bit in the end every map has like 0.5% spot where some fish bite, all other is just to trick you in thinking how youwill be fishing all over the place.

Still no luck, unless I'm doing something wrong.

Deep breath.....can any of you explain the how's & why's of these nonstop "fish got away" issues?  4 lost cats and 1 bite off hook, in under 10 casts.  Im lvl 34, im landed some trophy cats in my time, and  im no stranger to the concept of reading and comprehending instructions. SET THE HOOK RF4 says, and heres how....blah blah blah.....yet it doesnt seem to make a difference if you do things correctly or not. There is honestly no reasonable explanation for these issues. And in the end, it literally trashes any or all confidence in ones ability to do things as instructed.

I understand that its going to happen from time to time, fair enough, as RF4 is SUPPOSED to be a simulator....but this nonsense is anything but. This is some arcade type BS...

I have the gut feeling that IF I spoke Russian and those running this forum spoke Russian, I'd actually get a factual and comprehensive education on what is taking place, in other words, myself and the rest of us that dont speak Russian would know what is proper and what isn't.

SO LETS RULE OUT THE THINGS I THINK YOU'RE GOING TO THROW OUT...AS EXCUSES.

1. Hook 0% wear 2/0 & 3/0 jigheads

2. brand spanking new lures

3. hook set per RF4's demands - yep

4. Dont put too much pressure on the fish -   40kg+ cats equal automatic pressure. Applying little to no pressure equals lost fish. slack equals lost fish. Not applying pressure also means catfish just sits on the bottom....thats always a load of fun. Screw it honey, ive hooked a large catfish, sitting on the bottom, its the perfect time to go mow the lawn, test out the bedsprings and wash the truck.

I fish a lot for cats. im no stranger on how to catch them successfully....but i AM a stranger to the concept of losing fish after fish after fish without a reasonable improper action forcing the issue.

I HAVE MORE TROPHIES THAN LOST FISH! With nearly 28,000 fish to my credit. Im not  expecting you to solve cancer here....but i do expect a reasonable non-bs explanation. (such as-yeah we're aware it's a bit shit-sorry-its still a work in progress)The game mechanic is utter trash that provides the user with ZERO insight as to what they may have done improper. And this isn't solely my issue, its everyone's issue. We see it all the time with rf4 streamers too. HIGH level players with much more exp than myself suffering from this.  I value my stats as its one of the rare things in this game that has any significance.

AND WHY CAN I NOT POST A TOPIC IN ANY OTHER FORUM TOPIC THAN TECHNICAL ISSUES? THX

Hello - I have taken a look at your account and your fish loss rate is consistent at around 4% to 5%. This is a bit higher than other big fish hunting players but tells me that your approach is consistent. I did not see any 'spikes' that would indicate some other problem. You didn't provide your setup so I took the liberty of checking that out and it looks ok, you may want to consider using a heavy baitcasting setup for the cats (the baitcasters have more torque) instead of a spinning setup, but your setup will work.

You stated it yourself, this game is a simulation. It does mean you are going to lose fish. I cannot see what you are doing to bring them in, but I can give you a little explanation on the mechanics. Perhaps with this information you can then tune your approach to reduce your fish loss rate.

  1. After you set the hook, there is an initial 'quality' of the hookset.
  2. Too little or too much tension decreases the quality of the hookset.
  3. Rapid rod movements can decrease the quality of the hookset. Don't horse the fish in!
  4. Fish movements can also increase the chance of losing the fish. Try to maintain control of the fish when possible.
  5. Just because you have the fish on for some time does not mean it will not get off. You have to be patient and work the fish at it's pace.

I suspect that it is how you are bringing the fish in that is causing the problem. Your setup looks fine.Try to go with a steady approach of constant tension. Do not go into the red, and avoid losing tension as well. Do not engage in rapid rod movements in an effort to gain line back quickly. This can increase your chance of losing the fish. Be patient and bring the fish in with steady tension.
