Tell us what would you like to see in Russian Fishing 4 in the future. Please look at the list and only add new suggestions to the thread!!

They will be updated to the list and hidden after they have been added to the list to help keep this thread from getting too out of control again.

Please understand not everything you suggest will make it into the game.

 

List of suggestions already implemented in the game :

- Add a filtering/sorting option on the fish selection screen to sort by weight and/or remove the valued fish from showing 

-  Remove the ability to use 2 rods at the same time. ( Player no longer can operate a pole placed on the stand if he/she hold anything in hands)

- Add a delete message function

- Add only middle-class comp for level 15-23/25

- Provide more things to Premium: maybe a touch more XP in skills and/or levelling experience

-Add ability to the boat to be pushed away from the bank. It gets stuck very easily

-Stacking of same items in inventory  instead of 10 of them in the food menu

-Implement Swivels to the game as a workshop purchasable item

Baits / GroundB /  Lures

  1. Cultivate your baits for example plants in a small greenhouse or worms on land or keep live bait fish in an aquarium etc;
  2. Add making your own custom boilies and dough baits;
  3. Add a limit to the amount of bait a player can buy/hold at one time;
  4. Show the name of the person who made handmade lures in our inventory (similar to how it is done now for GB);
  5. Ability to change hooks on lures from quick selection;
  6. Please get rid of the ground bait making fails.Contributing nothing to your skill is penalty enough;
  7. Crafting your own boilies like GB would be great;
  8. Ability to use harvested worms and things as loose feed or chop em up throw em in GB;
  9. Change the crafting "failures" to reduced quality instead of item loss;
  10. Increase chance to catch specific bait based on the ground/water type and environmental factors like rain, temperature etc.;
  11. Make ingredient selection on GB or bait screen to stick with the last choices you made;
  12. Combine ground bait of the same make and quality to a single quantity, instead of portions of 20 pieces;
  13. Automatically fill the item selection for crafting, unless there is more than one option to select GB;
  14. Add pop up boilies / Add a few more 8mm sized boilies of the existing ones;
  15. Reduce the cost of ingredients for making ground bait;
  16. Filter all lure without hooks when we press B;
  17. Add chatterbaits;
  18. Able to craft lures without hooks;
  19. Fishing with floating bait, like bread or floating pet food;
  20. Introduce the following baits: Dragonfly, Wax Worms, Scuds, Freshwater Shrimp, Grass Shrimp;

  22. Able to sell ground bait at the stores;
  23. Crabbing (drop some crab pots around using fish meat);
  24. Harvesting fish pieces from fish gives a chance of randomly getting Fish Roe ( Even from the first level of harvest skill that allows fish pieces);
  25. Option to make Rotten fish pieces;
  26. Decide yourself what to put in your feeder. For example, mix groundbait with maggots;
  27. Decide yourself what size bait is. For example potato cubes, pieces of fish etc.;
  28. Quick Item Selection Order- To list the normal GB's (Bream, Tench Mix example) and Shovels and scoops at the top of the list instead of the bottom;
  29. Add particle baits for carp fishing;

  31. Make clearer what Pellets contain, and add info to the GB components what components are good for fish species;
  32. make live fishing available from first level;
  33. UV or glowing lures for Burbot;
  34. hide groundbait ingredients once bait is crafted;
  35. Cause live bait to act like a normal bait once a fish is on the line;
  36. Change crafting using items with multiple units so only one unit is used per craft;

  46. make eel more responsive to groundbaits and stinky baits ( they hunt by smell);
  47. assortment of cool baits like crayfish tails, big larvae, mussels as a reward for reaching 100% in bait harvesting skill, and some cool ingredients like dried crustaceans, caviar smell, etc... as a reward for reaching 100% in groundbait making;
  48. no more fails in GB/bait crafting, and groundbait quality 10/10 all the time;
  49. Small lampreys should become a bait that you can harvest with the shovel or the scoop;
  50. add baits chesnuts ,acorns, and peanuts for common carp;
  51. peanutbutter as food item, also additive in groundbait;
  52. add bait peanutbutter dough (peanutbutter, flour, salt);
  53. Increase the size of bait fish,it`s to hard now to catch a decent amount without them getting bad;
  54. Could an icon or text be added to the equipment like lures we already own with the amount owned;
  55. Add possibility to save your GB recipes. For example first time you do custom bait and name it, it comes an option to save that recipe. Later, if you want to make same GB, you just choose one of your saved recipes and all the ingredients fills automatically;
  56. Change the min/max weight for Gudgeon Baitfish, every baitfish has at least 50g between the min and max weight but the gudgeon only has 20 (from 40g to 60g);

  57. Make it so that when your making ground bait you need at least 1 base 1 addittive and one attractant to make ground bait;

  58. Auto loading for ground bait with feeders and pva sticks just like regular bait;

  59. Under the information  button of your ground bait let it display the ingredients;

  60. Add glow in the dark lures especially jigs so you can spin fish at night;

  61. Add Big pike specific lures like huge spinnerbaits and big prerigged soft plastics;

  62. Re-adjust the level for anything that requires an ingredient to its higher requirements;

Gameplay

  1. Remove the chance of a fish fleeing without any reason;
  2. Add stats in-game money spent/earned;
  3. Ability to order items from the shop when sold out, so it will be delivered when items arrive, you pay when putting an order;
  4. More stable boats, even when anchored the boat spins too much, trolling with wind is too hard / Double anchor, one at the bow and one at the stern, so you don't turn all the time;
  5. On-screen rod indicator, handy for hard hearing or when trolling. or even when feeders are out range because you looking at other spots with spin/float;
  6. Repair times to count down even when you are not online playing;
  7. Open up Bear Lake then we can fish from the other side;
  8. Add player created campfires;
  9. Add fly fishing / Saltwater / sea / beach fishing
  10. Wildlife movement in the game;
  11. Add Bass fishing;
  12. Add possibility to use feeder rods on the boat - stands for feeder rods/a way to put feeder and float rods down in a boat
  13. Adjust cafe orders to better suit lakes they are on;
  14. Character choice male/female;
  15. Add clothes to protect your energy from bad weather (rain or storm) and increasing comfort and as consequence max energy/energy recovery / Add hip waders and chest waders / fishing umbrella;
  16. Add possibility to see cafe offers and stock in the store to save unnecessary trips form any position on the map;
  17. Add the possibility to buy a permanent boat / Add kayak that you can rent or buy permanently / Rowboat for rental;
  18. Add ability to buy a house in towns;
  19. Make player competitions more attractive;
  20. Add placing Waypoints;
  21. Add possibility to adjust the volume of the bells on feeder rods;
  22. Warning message for the camping light when a player is 20 m away. The lamp is put back in the backpack;

  24. Give an animation for when you land the fish, such as holding it in order for us to have a better idea of the size and take screenshots;
  25. Add weekly challenge cafe orders which give increased coins, cash or items;

  27. Make short-lived in-game daily events showing which fish will have increased fishing rate during that day. (F.E: Salmon Run);

  29. Remove the chance from common carps biting bread/worms in mosquito lake to avoid punishing beginners so much;
  30. Add pop-up tips explaining the risks, such as GB, rod types, reels, equipment parts when repairing, how to make a safe rod setup, etc. / Also add a button to access the same tips in-game;
  31. Make that these new sensors for bottom fishing stop beeping after 3 or 4 times / Bite indicators not to go off when reeling in your line with Y. Every time I go to tighten line it beeps 4 times;
  32. St. Patrick event with green water body color;
  33. Special type of fish who give u gold coin after selling;
  34. Feeder bells / bite alarms changeable after being cast out;
  35. Add exp option when releasing small fish;
  36. Increase the bite % of larger fish / Decrease the bite % of smaller fish;
  37. Make "green flagged" fish easier to catch by them not being as affected by attractiveness as trophies;

  46. Resign button in competition after it has started;

  49. Add different size fish for harvesting bait fish to match the hook size that is used for live bait;

  52. Change Bite indicator position attached in front of reel and first line guides,with short animations movements up and down and sound & light if fish bite;
  53. Food combinations for extra bonuses;
  54. A button to turn off bell sounds while fighting another fish;

  56. Make atm so we can also deposit silver;
  57. Able to cut the line off of spool of line to match the amount of line to the reel capacity specs;
  58. Have a global fish market, which can be seen from the menu and prices vary according to supply and demand;
  59. Move the boat station on Volkhov to the island so it is closer to the middle of the map;
  60. Add NPC to town that tells you some fish bait preference for the area like when you travel to fish abroad;
  61. Add depth indicator for feeder rods;
  62. Adjust Sterlet fights to be more aggressive;
  63. Option to adjust drag when rods are on their pods;
  64. Leave the last reel speed settings they way they were for the next time you go fishing (after game restart);
  65. Add a food item or breakfast item at the Cafes to provide those who have done orders with a good quality meal;

  67. Create some loyalty system on workshop and cafe shop - give some bonus;
  68. Create an unhook phase of the fish with some skill tree;

Add more dynamics to the fish models  - adding length as well as weight; short fat fish or long skinny ones, just add some variety other than always catching the same looking fish models; some age indicators like scars on fish that live in predator-infested areas, and scars on smaller predators;
  70. Add when you are harvesting with a shovel and a scoop to fine old lures and pocket knife etc;
  71. Add to be able to buy skill points and skills at a certain level;
  72. Make it so we can "drift fish" in a boat at Sura. We should be able to start up at the top of the map and turn off our engine and just drift down the river and fish without hitting the bank constantly. The current should keep us in the middle of the river or at least off the bank;
  73. Add note system for the maps - so we can add/mark/edit our own cords/locations on the maps;
  74. Add a "weekend event" feature. Perhaps not every single weekend, but occasionally have weekends where a specific species is featured;
  75. Add on the lake info list fish species, what size they can get too in that lake and list of baits;
  76. Add something to prevent you from being teleported when your boat licence runs out even when you don't have more tickets in the backpack;
  77. Npcs in cafe area;

  96. Lower gold cost, lower bite rate of small fish on gold bait/ gold needs rebalance ( way too expensive in my opinion to justify price);
  97. Revert sturgeon fight mechanic and increase aggressive behavior;
  98. allow fishing in areas of map that appear to be open but or inaccessible, or add visible obstacles to show that area cannot be traversed by player;
  99. Add small reward to weekly regional record holders for each fish, maybe gold bait;
  100. double the value of gold baits e.g. 60 rhino beetle larva for 1.50 gold;
  101. reduce fish stamina (especially for fish such as carp and catfish);
  102. have fish stamina relate to temperature (the colder it is the more lethargic the fish are);
  103. add periodic sales to in-game store (for gold and silver stuff);
  104. a reason to release the tiniest of fish;
  105. fish jumping on line with chance to throw hook; more realistic fish fight with jumps and less fish stamina especially for asp and salmon/trout
  106. rebalance food mechanics as player-crafted foods have little or no benefit for their price ( if a potato + tea can fill a player up just as well as a 100$ caviar, why make the caviar?);
  107. ability to adjust trolling speed;
  108. zooming in zooms in on bait and not on rod tip when holding rod;
  109. prevent players from digging worms in certain areas such as on docks and boats (makes sense) and around the food carts (to prevent bots);
  110. reduce player energy loss when piloting a boat ( sometimes a player can get tired by turning a boat around without catching any fish);
  111. a bit or broken line removes only the amount of line that was out at the time of cutting;
  112. Start happy hour upon first catch instead of log in;
  113. Choice between bonus silver or experience for happy hour;
  114. Have the listing in store main section show weight and price for the whole reel series;
  115. Add separate volume control for reel only;
  116. a reason to fish the swampy puddle at cottage pond (perhaps stock with crayfish and frog);
  117. to add onto another suggestion-replace common carp at mosquito with koi carp;
  118. Lets have one notification when the week ends about winners of leaderboard, like one single notification to tell us it's done and in the winners  table;
  119. A new rate (price) for the ingame drinks;
  120. Players should be able to use corks on the bottles when making homemade wine;
  121. Ability to extend boat tickets;
  122. Add a pricelist at the fishmongers at every lake showing the price/kg.;
  123. Better accuracy with the landing net so you aren't chasing the fish in circles;
  124. I would like to suggest increasing the chances of getting a trophy such as perch, sichel, herrings, chub, vendace, ripus, grayling and mussels ect. Especially for a spin fisherman with 100% in spin fishing. Basically all of the ''smaller'' species that can be caught with a lure should have an significant increase at the chance for a trophy while spin fishing, with all char species excluded due to their good exp/silver gains;
  125. Implement a fish encyclopedia, it starts out empty and when you catch a fish, it registers and gives more usefull information about the fish to help players find it (where it likes to be, what baits it prefers, weather conditions, temperature and etc.). Similar to a players catch statistics, but with more info;

  126. When you eat or drink, display some info about how it will affect the player. How much hunger/comfort it will satisfy, will it restore energy, will it decrease health. How long will the comfort stay increased, how fast will your hunger decrease after eating a certain food item. Also, putting some numbers next to the status bars and how are they being currently affected (weather,fighting a fish) would be really usefull;

  127. Add a new type of ultra rare trophy called the "secret" fish. Basically it could be very rare hybrid of two species or simply a type of fish that should not appear in certain water body but somehow got there. Very hard to catch and ultra rare - not a huge monster, but small that can give lots of XP or silver reward.

  128. Add ability to make own permanent boats/yachts. So in later time if you add larger/deeper zones with only own made boats/yachts. On yachts a large deck for feeder rods and floats. 

    Starting from rowboats and ending with large deck yachts where you are able to use all three rods/smoke fish.

  129. Add maps that are ONLY for made boats/yachts without boat rental - so anyone who doesnt have own boat can fish only from shore.  

  130. Add fish/craw traps that add an extra bonus silver per day. Traps that you can use when you go offline and should work like normal fishing(with hotspots or just dead zone)  So make it skill or level based too - where with skill increase you can use larger traps and to make more interesting make it 24hr and fish are all rotten so you should have to check them daily.  Make them with less chance for rare/trophy fish and custom made bait for those traps for increased chance;

  131. I suggest a ballancing on the harvesting mechanics, decrease the energy cost and increase the energy bar refilling;

  132. Add guild system where you can lvl up guild with exp from fishing and special guild store to buy some equipment for better exp for example and guild competitions to make game more competitive for those who wanna play it in that way;

  133. Make cafe orders repeatable but with diminishing returns, say loose 25% of the price each time you turn in. this will give more incentive to fish certain species to fill the orders. also helps the lower level player base gain silver to better their gear;

  134. Add a place to sit down for your character;

  135. Decrease wear on gear and decrease chance of breaking gear;

  136. Add a 1-5 star rating that goes up and down in real time, depending on how good your jig stepping or stopping and going;

  137. Add auto pilot for boats;

  138. Add bonus exp for NOT keeping the small fish and release it like in real life;

  139. Add effects to boat(like waves);

  140. The tip of match rods should be in the water, to make sink the slack line under the surface of water (in order to reduce effects of the wind);

  17. Different types of flashlight. From basic to very strong LED's;

  21. Ability to use loose feeding catapults for maggots/casters etc.;

  27. Make a leader for float and bottom fishing mandatory or  have an obvious disadvantage for no leader due to fish awareness;
  28. Less noisy electric motor, causing fish to be less cautious;
  29. Add boilie throwing sticks;
  30. low weight jighead size 6 for UL;
  31. Add air pump for baitfish bucket to keep bait fresh and alive longer;
  32. Protective vest when in boat;
  33. Add levl 20 feeder rod with 5% bottom skill at price of 1500-2000 silver;
  34. Add Pomor spinners to shops;
  35. Ability to use 8m telestic as a 4, 5, 6, or 7m rod;
  36. Increase depth allowed with longer telesticks;
  37. adjust telestick line so there is not excessive slack line;
  38. add robust elastic to the tip of telescopic rods to cushion against fish runs;
  39. add floating beads to shop;
  40. increase craftable leader length;
  41. add future ability to craft rods to player requirement;
  42. craft steel leaders;
  43. planer boards for trolling;
  44. a way for the player to repair a reel themselves for only the cost of parts;
  45. add heavier reels to feeder/carp rods ( Saltwater size) for large sturgeon;
  46. add cooler that can preserve a small portion of fish in keepnet forever ( useful on large lakes such as Akhtuba or for waiting for a cafe order);
  47. show breaking strength for hooks;
  48. Add fishfinders both for on the banks as in the boats;
  49. Add rod stand options or making these ones more leveled;
  50. Improve fixed line rods, the strike/pull in fish with that type of rod is no good atm. Ingame anything above 1kg is dragged near shore and player is unable to pick it up without using net;

  51. Add having telesticks without float, like bottom telesticks with small sinkers;

  52. Add possibility to see star quality of your hooks in inventory, would be especially useful for triple hooks;

  53. Add a rod pod for 3 rods instead of the 1 by 1 stands;

  54. Add more diffrent bells and horns;
  55. Add a circle with the model of reel with micrometric and normal clutch;
  56. Add proprely weighted wagglers in game, the ones we have today are missing shots on the line and need to be much deeper to be seated correctly, only the red top should be above water on most of them;

  1. The ability to log out back to the main login screen;
  2. Add lock screen, so on dual monitor setups mouse don't go on another monitor;
  3. Gamepad support;
  4. An in-game setup which devices play game sounds; More control over sound levels - for example being able to turn down the sound of boats without turning down the sound of rod bells;
  5. Ingame measurement in lbs/kg and imperial/metric switch choice;
  6. Smaller graphical representation of boat motor;
  7. Possibility  save point from your current position when closing the game or making a teleport;
  8. Add straight retrieve indicator;
  9. Add a friend list;
  10. When a record fish appears in chat it would be great if the lake/river where it was caught was shown;
  11. Reduce the order fish size, many have requirements above the lake record;
  12. Giving away items a standard / non-premium feature;
  13. Allow players to place items as competition rewards;
  14. Add an auction house;
  15. Improve storm graphics;
  16. Be able to hit G to go back to live view after pressing it to check the fishing rod setup;
  17. Keep all game sounds active when in menu's or crafting screen's;
  18. When you catch a trophy fish, it shows on chat it was a trophy;
  19. Real-time in-game pass not like now 1h/1d in game; atm we tend to have bigger and bigger maps, harder and harder fights, that makes the target of certain species that bites on only a certain time, really hard and stressfull, sometimes the fish spot is at I9, you go there to fish for only 2-3h ingame and has to go back to fish somewhere else, sometimes isn't even worth to spend the time travelling there cuz it's too late already... I think we could make the ingame day last longer, 2h IRL, not sure about how long, but it's really painfull. Obviously there's the point that you will have to wait more to fish for that specie, but, it gives you more time to plan and fight the other fish you're targeting while wait the correct time;

  1. Roadmap to future of the game / Game development road map so players know what part of the game devs are working on;
  2. Add more benefits for Premium: free tackle repairs, and a little gold per Premium 'membership' bought, free repairs;
  3. Maps sorted on countries and expand the lake and rivers to look like the real ones from across all Europe, America and other regions;
  4. Adding lakes/rivers/sea from European/American/Asia continents and country's with possibilities of travelling to different country's using real-time (ex: travel from Spain to the United Kingdom choose the travel method car 12h realtime/plane 3hrs realme) / Choosing a date and hour to start the travel even if players is online or not. And possibility to chose where to go fish in that country (ex: important lake/river/sea not all even fictional names should be ok);
  5. Introducing the seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter(water freezes and fish pike on hole,made with ice drill;
  6. Add Amazon River;
  7. Deep sea maps in Russian waters with tides and swells;
  8. Add Lake Ohrid to the game;
  9. add the Netherlands to the game;
  10. a saltwater desination where fish such as halibut, salmon - and for the really adventurous; greenland shark;
