The bait for the loach was actually caddisfly + redworm, I took the picture of setup later when I ran out of redworm. AlternativeEgo Posted March 9, 2021 Share Posted March 9, 2021 Akhtuba River - 141:98 (run past the pool and down to the edge at H6) Depth 1,2m, cast 25-30% S/E and watch it drift away from you while you think about stuff. Mostly Black-spined with Shemaya and Brazhnikov on the side. The latter being a more common catch than the regular Herring and Sichel combined makes it a bit special. I'd like to recommend hook size 18 but it was the 20 that caught the trophy, so there you go.
