The Seversky Donets River is perhaps one of the most picturesque rivers of the East European Plain. A lot of anglers come to the green shores of this quiet and cozy river each year. In the Seversky Donets there is a large number of diverse species of fish. In addition to pike, catfish or sturgeon, there is a chance to catch such unusual fish as sun perch. In coastal villages, in addition to ordinary shops, there are shops selling local products and handicrafts.

At 159:79 one can find pontic shads and sichels from 11h00 to 23h00.
They move actually from 158:80 to 160:78 (right and left of 159:79).

Pontic shads are interesting for their high XP and silver value.

In one day (1/2h fishing) I made 30.000 XP + bonus from my 2 telescopic rods = 50.000XP.

The silver was $166 + 2 café orders for a total of $203.

The next day the result was about the same, with less fishes but a shad trophy.

I used mayfly on FC 3.2 kg and #16, cast where the current is fast.
It was fun as I had a fish every 30 seconds (non flagged fishes were discarded).
The third rod can be cast in the hole nearby for zander and bream but the results were not very good.

Targeting bleaks at ~60:146, left of the jetty, between it and the reeds, casting medium far in the current, with a light setup : 2 telescopic 8m and 7m, FC 3.2kg, nature fly, depth 33cm.

Good surprise: sichels were there, for a bait and at a depth I did not expect them.

Non stop casting during half an hour of game, till late in the night (01:00h): 35 pieces / $147

Hi all!

As I'm testing a spot for black sea kutums, I've noticed that 95.173 is a quite interesting place with some potential.

I'm already not very far from trophy size for species like wild carp and russian sturgeons at this place. The bite rate is quite slow, but from time to time, results get better.

It's not a place to farm silver, don't expect much money. But I believe there are some nice trophies.

Interesting fact: it's already several days that I get some small black sea belugas (from 3 to 38kg). I don't target them yet, so if you are interest, you should try with baitfishes like perches and gibel carps (weekly records).

About baits: for wild carp, river and zebra mussels seem to work the best here (I've tried nightcrawlers, but mussels were better. I've also tried some boilies with crab&mussels/atlantic mussel/black caviar flavor, but nearly no fishes). About the russian sturgeon, he seems to prefer river mussels over anything else. I've tried rhino beetle larva, crayfish tail, mole cricket, cockchafer larvas. But river mussels continue to give the best results for me.

Coords: 95.173 E1

Hi all!

I wanted to report a cool area for mussel farming, and also for donets ruffe, with 2 particular spots (44.132 and 45.145). If you need baits, that's the moment! And if you target the Donets ruffe, I think there's really a good chance to catch a trophy in this area. Also, I got a trophy Donets ruffe at one of the spot 🙂 (45.145). There's an other spot (38.132) but the place is overpopulated with breams. So I prefer the 2 other coordinates (more interesting fishes like white breams and taran. Small quantities, but nice sizes).

Species: River Mussel, Zebra Mussel, Donets Ruffe

Hi all!

Actually zanders are active at the 6m hole.

There's a good hope for a trophy (required to complete the map's trophies challenge).

It works fine with the baitfish rig, but also with soft lures (but less bites). Bleaks and clupeonella work very fine.

Species: zander (also some asps, nice volga zanders and good chubs)

Hi man,

It's possible to not do jigging, but it's still the best lure animation for them, no doubt about that. You can try something else, but as far as I know, it' remains the best.

What is "clip"?

To put a clip on the reel so you only cast as far as the clip you've set, to set the clip hold ctrl and use +/-

Press F1 to see all controls.
